I’ve been wanting to see how theme parks are operating now that they’ve re-opened. So, last weekend, we visited four theme parks in three days! It was a whirlwind – packed with fun at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Magic Kingdom Park, Universal’s Island of Adventure, and Universal Studios Orlando.
Before you go – please make sure you have the phone apps downloaded and ready to go!
Here are some quick tips if you are planning on going to the parks:
Disney Tips
A hat, sunscreen, poncho, and comfortable shoes are a must – due to social distancing lines may be outside for food and attractions.
Pack light – there is screening at the entrance of the parks – smaller bags will be faster to get through so that you can get in the park faster.
Remember that theme park reservations are required. There are no fast passes right now – but you will need to go into my Disney experience right after reserving your trip to get reservations for your one park per day experience. Of course, I will walk you through how to do this. Disney’s Hollywood studios are the most popular due to Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge
There is hand sanitizer in merchandise locations and after each attraction – if you are picky about what kind you use – pack your own – otherwise -there will be plenty!
The Universal Experience
I recommend staying at one of the Universal Resorts that have the Express Pass included. It will make your time in line much shorter.
The earlier you arrive in the parks the earlier you can get in to get your request in for Virtual Lines – including Hagrid’s Magical Creatures – one of the best rides ever.
Be prepared for baggage checks and temperature checks at the entrance to the theme parks. All guests are required to wear wrist bands showing that they have had their temperature taken and are fever-free. They change the color of the bands every day.
